 Caring for your hair
Just like your skin, your hair needs special attention too. Read on to find out how to take proper care of your hair.

• Make an effort to keep hair clean with regular shampooing and conditioning. Dirty hair gets infected faster causing dandruff and other problems, making it prone to heartbreaking hairfall.

• Use hair products designed specifically for curbing hairfall religiously.

• Heat up coconut or almond oil and massage it to your scalp. Leave it on for an hour and then shampoo it off. This increases blood circulation, strengthening the follicles.

• Avoid using hot styling products as they tend to make the hair brittle, leading to their fall.

• Apply warm green tea on your head, two bags prepared in a cup of water. Leave it on for an hour and then shampoo it. The antioxidants in green tea gradually reduce hairfall and instead enhance hair development.

• Tight hairstyles tend to loosen your roots, being a major cause to hairfall. It would be advisable to stick to low and loose hairstyles.

• Wet hair is like a delicate baby. Handle your wet mane with care. Don’t rub vigorously with a towel or brush. Use a wide toothed comb to detangle.

• Trim off split ends once every month to encourage healthy hair growth.
  • Shampooing your hair :- Rub a small amount of the shampoo of your choice into the palms of your hands, then massage onto the scalp area of your head. Though this may sound less than imagined, a small amount of shampoo lathers a lot because it spreads evenly throughout your hair, keeping your scalp and every strand clean. Massage the shampoo into your scalp and hair with your fingertips, but not too vigorously! Do not mound hair on top of your head to scrub it, this will cause tangles. Completely rinse your hair until water runs out with no bubbles.

Advanced Hair Cutting Techniques

 1. Section off the hair as in the video, that is, from the crown around the head to the temples.

2. Using the clippers with attachment No.2, remove all the hair up to the section line. If you feel it is necessary, you can further reduce the nape area, sideboards and areas around the ears with a No.1 attachment. Use the points of your cutting scissors to further clean up the entire hairline.

 4. Create a section from the crown  to the centre forehead, and angle your fingers so that the hair length increases slightly towards the front.
Take some more sections either side of the first cut section and use this as a guideline. Fan those sections out until you have covered the entire back area of the head.

5. Blend the sides short into long by angling your fingers as near vertically as possible, remembering that you want the longest hair at the front. Clean sections at this point are not so necessary, just pick the hair up and angle your fingers remembering the longest hair is towards the front and from the crown across the top towards the forehead.

6. Having achieved the desired length, use your texturizing shears to further blend and soften where short hair blends to longer, and your scissors to further texturize the rest  where necessary.

7. Apply an appropriate wax or gel to suit the style you envisioned.
